Food and service is always great..and the price you can't beat!!
When you walk in to the restaurant it has a very unique charm!! Exposed rustic brick walls and weathered antique plank floors. They start off with bread and Olive oil dipping sauce which was quite tasty!!!
Plenty of food and nice staff, but the decor is old and dusty. The food itself is almost entirely comprised of instant potatoes, canned southern dishes and other d/just-add-water style food. You'll get full for an acceptable price, but you won't like it.
They also have some good ass pork chops, and the vegetables are usually always good. And you know they got the good vegetables as you gonna take a major dump a few hours after eating here.
Worth the drive to the other side of Dublin! They usually don't have the largest selection compared to Golden Carrol, but they make up for it with food that is better than Golden Carrol for sure. I've tried fried chicken from most places in Dublin, and it is safe to say that the Clover Leaf, has the best fried chicken in town, and surprisingly the gas stations Friendly Gus, is the runner up.
Great country style buffet. The food is delicious. They offer different meat options and plenty of vegetable and desert options. However, they are only open for lunch.
But really what makes this place so great is the Owner and the staff. The owner is so friendly, and I've never seen her in a bad mood and she is always talking and joking around w/ the customers, and she is really fine as well! But yeah, this place is what you look for in good southern food and some real pretty waitresses to smile at you too.
